PxWeb is a popular tool for disseminating statistics on the Internet. It was developed by Statistics Sweden and Statistics Norway with support from Finland and Denmark. It is used in more than 40 countries and more than 100 organizations. One of the main strengths of PxWeb is that it is user-oriented and provides a nice and easy interface for displaying statistics on the web.
The State Statistical Office is among the pioneers in using this tool by presenting the tables in the Maxstat database. The Office continuously monitors and applies all the improvements and advancements of PxWeb and other Px-tools, which enables wide availability of all statistical data produced by the Office and their easy use.
