New Training Center opened with support from Statistics Sweden
The Center provides modern conditions for education, cooperation and professional development in statistics, it is available to the employees of the Office, as well as to the academic community, the media and other users of statistical data
On April 9, 2025, the new Training Center was officially opened at the premises of the State Statistical Office, implemented with the support of Statistics Sweden through the development cooperation program of the Swedish International Development Agency - SIDA.
The Center represents a modern space for training, knowledge exchange and professional development in the field of official statistics, intended for both employees of the Office and external collaborators, academic researchers, journalists and all interested users of statistical data.
With the opening of this center, the State Statistical Office is taking an important step forward in strengthening institutional capacities, improving statistical culture and approaching European and international standards for data production and dissemination.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of the State Statistical Office, Dr. Dejan Stankov and employees of the Office, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to North Macedonia, Ms. Ami Larsson Jain, with representatives from the embassy, the experts engaged by Statistics Sweden in this project, Ms. Maj Eriksson Gothe and Mr. Lars Johan Söderberg, as well as the partners participating in the development process of the Macedonian national statistical system.
The State Statistical Office expresses its great gratitude to Statistics Sweden and the SIDA program for the continuous support, with whose help the strategic goals and development initiatives in the field of Macedonian statistics are being realized.
