State Statistical Office participated in the 110th DGINS Conference in Split
The SSO strengthens international cooperation and the exchange of good practices within the European Statistical System.
A delegation of the State Statistical Office, led by the Director Dejan Stankov, PhD, participated in the Conference of Directors General of National Statistical Institutes within the European Statistical System, which was held in Split, Croatia, under the theme “European Tourism Statistics: A Forward-Looking and Innovative Response to 21st Century User Needs.”
The event was organised by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics in cooperation with Eurostat and serves as a leading European platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices among the Directors General of national statistical institutes.
The DGINS conference is an annual event that brings together leading experts in the field of statistics from across Europe. DGINS provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, innovations and best practices among national statistical offices.
The aim is to strengthen international cooperation and find solutions to complex statistical challenges. The conference also includes panel discussions and networking opportunities.
On 24 October 2025, during his stay in Split, Director Dejan Stankov, PhD, held a bilateral meeting with Ms. Lidija Brković, Director General of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
The two Directors exchanged views and experiences on the current challenges and priorities in statistical work and expressed their openness to further strengthening the excellent cooperation between the two institutions.
The State Statistical Office regularly participates in DGINS conferences in order to follow the latest European statistical trends, exchange experiences with institutions from the European Statistical System, and apply best practices in the Macedonian statistical production.

Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the State Statistical Office and the Chamber of Accountants
The Memorandum will enable better coordination between the two institutions, organisation of joint events with an emphasis on the alignment of statistical and accounting regulations and standards, as well as support in the process of high-quality financial reporting, with the aim of obtaining accurate, precise and comprehensive data that are subject to statistical analysis.
