The food production is an imperative for Governments in Europe and the world. Carrying out sustainable agricultural policies of a country is closely related to the availability of timely and quality agricultural statistics.
State Statistical Office produces data about:
- Utilised agricultural area
- Production of grains, industrial and fodder crops
- Production of vegetable and fruits
- Organic farming
- Livestock (number of livestock by categories)
- Livestock production (production of milk, meat, wool, eggs and honey)
- Fisheries and aquaculture and
- Forestry.
Despite that, the State Statistical Office is compiling and Economic Accounts for Agriculture as well calculating the prices of inputs and outputs in the agriculture.
The Farm Structure Survey is with more-yearly periodicity. This survey provides data about the structure of agricultural holdings, including data about the size and legal status of the holding, labour force engaged in the holding, as well data about measures for rural development.
